Not Quite April Showers

Our Favorite Crossword Game
Please excuse my sporadic posts.  My long-distance husband is in town for spring break, making this one of the most happy and busy weeks of my school year. Life is so much more fun when he's around.  Strangely, the beginning of spring on Sunday brought us a fierce storm with flash flood warnings and high winds in Southern California, giving us an excuse to stay inside and snuggle up together on his first full day at home.  After meeting my parents for brunch, we stocked up on s'mores ingredients and hot cocoa.  Then, we sat around, watching the rain come down, listening to the wind howl, and passing the time with a game of Scrabble and an at-home movie marathon.  We even ordered pizza, so we never had to leave the house.  For dessert, we made s'mores on the stove-top, holding our marshmallows over the burners on fondue forks.  No rain boots required!
